December 2024

Friday, December 20th-

  • Jammies & Jingles Story Time- The Village Playspace will host a free story time event in pajamas at 6pm on Friday, December 20th at its 225 E. Reeder St. location in Dillon. Come in your coziest PJs for free play, holiday stories, and a festive craft. For more information, email thevillageplayspace406@gmail.com.
  • Christmas Bale Maze- The Beaverhead Maze & Pumpkin Patch, located at 4565 Hwy. 41. N, Dillon, is hosting its 1st ever Christmas Bale Maze on Friday, December 20th & Saturday, December 21st from 5pm-8pm. This years theme is Reindeer Fun! Entry fee of $10 per person with 2 years and younger free. Come try and find the 6 hidden reindeer stations throughout the maze! The Maze also features, holiday arts and crafts, gingerbread house making, heated indoor space to warm up, full bar and yummy hot spiked drinks from Fetty’s. Saturday, December 21st-

  • Youth Challenge Graduation- Class 51 of Montana Youth Challenge Academy will rise up for their commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 21st starting at 10am. The cadets will be recognized for their achievements at Straugh Gymnasium on the UMW Campus.

Tuesday, December 24th- Christmas Eve- All Pioneer Federal branches will open at normal hours and will close at 12:00PM.

Wednesday, December 25th- Christmas- All Pioneer Federal branches will be closed for Christmas.

  • Elks Lodge Christmas Dinner- The Elks Lodge #1554, at 27 E. Center Street, Dillon will be hosting a Christmas dinner on Wednesday, December 25th from 11am-3pm. Everyone is Welcome. Takeout is available- one per family member. Please call (406)-683-5552 to place your order. No delivery or rides will be available. Please call if you would like to donate cash or food and/or volunteer. Volunteers are needed to help cook, serve food, brew & serve coffee, refill food trays, greet & seat guests, bus tables, wash dishes, and clean.

Saturday, December 28th- Astronomy Public Night- Cottontail Observatory in Twin Bridges will host a public viewing night at 7pm on Saturday, December 28th. The events are free but donations are appreciated, and viewing is always subject to weather events. For more information, call Joe Witherspoon at (406)-842-7722.
