Dillon’s Upcoming Community Events  

Thursday, April 17th- Construction Lunch & Learn- The Beaverhead Chamber of Commerce will host a Lunch and Learn about construction on Montana Street this summer. The event will be at noon on Thursday, April 17th in the Mac’s Last Cast front room. Attendance is free, lunch is $18 per person. For more information, email info@beaverheadchamber.org.

Saturday, April 19th- Jaycee Easter Egg Hunt- The Dillon Jaycee Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Vigilante Park on Saturday. The little ones will run/walk/crawl to their treasures at Children’s Park, across Center Street from Vigilante. The older kids will swoop through a field of goodies at Vigilante Park. The Easter Egg Hunts are over in a flash so you can’t be late or you will be greeted with kids looking through their bags and baskets.

Thursday, April 24th- Rock Talk- The Beaverhead County Museum will host a “Historical Geology, Mines and People of Beaverhead County” presentation April 24 at the Old Depot Theatre, 125 S. Montana St. John Breen will speak on the mining districts, places and people who settled the county. Friday, April 25th- Bulldog Paniolo Luau- The Bulldog Paniolo Luau will begin at the Keltz Arena at 5 p.m. on April 25. The evening includes a dinner and a show from the Polynesian Club.

Saturday, April 26th-

  • Night of Stars Education Hall of Fame Ceremony- The 12th annual UMW Night of Stars Education Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is set for April 26 at UMW’s Lewis & Clark Room in Mathews Hall. This year’s inductees are Eileen Lane Haugen, Jimi Lunak Champ, Ken Carver, and Sara Decker.
  • Lima Color Fun Run- The Be The Change 406 Coalition will host the Lima Peaks Color Fun Run 5K and 10K on April 26 in Lima. Check in is at 9 a.m. at the Lima Town Park; registration is $35 for individuals or $50 for family. The proceeds benefit the Lima Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter for its trip to Nationals. For more information call (406)-594-1352.
  • Kennel Club Spay/Neuter Clinic- The Kennel Club will be sponsoring a spay/neuter clinic at the National Guard Armory on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27. Spay Montana, with their mobile veterinarians and technicians, is a grass-roots organization that provides free spays and neuters for animal owners in financial need. Appointments are required. Spay Montana will also offer vaccinations: Rabies ($15), Annual ($15), or both for $25. Microchipping will be offered for $25. No appointment is needed. Volunteers are welcome. To make a spay/neuter appointment or to volunteer, please call (406)-683-4564 or (406)-683-3696.

Tuesday, April 29th- Jared Freiburg and the Vagabonds- The Dillon Concert Association brings Jared Freiburg and The Vagabonds to the UM-Western Beier Auditorium on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. Tunes from the golden era of American music featuring an electric lineup of your favorite rock & roll, blues, country and jazz hits from the 1950s, a non-stop hit parade of your favorite Golden Oldies.
